Data gone missing
The missing files pertaining to coal allocation took me back to the time when I had to visit North Block regularly for official work.
The missing files pertaining to coal allocation took me back to the time when I had to visit North Block regularly for official work. During my visits, I observed that the details of all incoming and outgoing files have to be recorded with the signature of the official in-charge. It is shocking that under such strict norms, more than a hundred files on an important matter under investigation have gone missing. The BJP’s demand for a thorough probe is justified. However, it is surprising that in this digital era, our government has no computerised data storage facilities.
