Outfits for Christmas with designer Varsha Wadhwa- Deep reds and greens define designer Varsha Wadhwa's winter collection, perfect for the winter and christmas parties. Speaking about the winter fashion trends, designer Varsha Wadhwa says floral works are gaining a lot of popularity this winter.

Wadhwa adds, "3D appliqué has been a major part of my winter festive collection. Inspired by The Garden Of Earthly Delights, I've included bees and birds with flora and fauna in all my outfits in deep winter hues and softer colours too!"

Velvet for winter holidays with designer By Chandni- With the onset of winter, its time to dress cozy, take cues from the beautiful velvet pieces in deep hues from designer Chandni Sahi.. Chandni Sahi swears by velvet when it comes to winterwear this season in Mumbai.

Designer Chandni Shah adds, "Velvet is a big trend trend this winter. Think long jackets/capes, hints of velvet in kurtas and pants, etc. I've combines the latest fad of culottes with velvet to create amazing pieces. You can avoid head to toe velvet by pairing it up with different fabrics. Or if you want to avoid the Bombay heat yet be trendy, velvet can be a small part of you look, like the velvet appliqué on a bustier and sleeves."

Winter weddings done right with designer Natasha J- Dress your best for the winter weddings with lace printed kalidars and reversible lehengas from designer Natasha J. The designer says that this winter layers is what will dominate the fashion scene.

Natasha J goes on to add, "Mesh-merized includes layered kurtas with jackets. Shervanis that you can wear this wedding season or layer it with lehengas for a completely different look. Cape style angrakhas that can be used as kalidars or as a cape over your western attire."

According to designer Anoli Shah, one should take their summer outfits to winter this season. She says, "Doing the rounds this season are capes in all colours and prints. Transform any outfit by just throwing on a cape. Take cues from the prints and delicate fabrics used in the Draupadi collection."

She says, "The colour black is a big part of every winter. you can never go wrong with it. Long maxis, gowns and dresses look fabulous this season when paired with boots or ankle length socks with heels. When in doubt wear black!"
