A businessman who deals in real estate was arrested in Jamia Nagar area in connection with the murder of his 19-year-old wife. The police said that he got married twice and killed his wife after she got to know about his first marriage. A senior police official said that the accused was identified as Javed Chaudhary. The official said that he strangled his wife Sayra to death and fled from the area after locking the body inside a room. “Javed first got married in 2009. He met Sayra a year ago during Id. He developed a friendship with her and got married. They then took a house on rent in Jamia Nagar area,” said the senior police official. The official said that Javed did not disclose Sayra about his first marriage. But Sayra got suspicious as Javed used to visit someone’s house twice a week. “Sayra told him to introduce her to his family, but he refused. Sayra then decided to introduce Javed to her family. The duo had a heated argument over the issue,” said the police.
