I am a fighter, says Salman
Salman Khan, who according to a recent survey is the most searched actor on Google in India, announced his new page via a live Google+ Hangout on Wednesday. The superstar is the first actor in India to use the platform of the recently launched Google+ communities to launch his official fan club. Right from his blockbuster films to his personal life, there is tremendous curiosity surrounding this star. We ask Salman if that ever gets to him. “Not really,” he shrugs. “As long as people don’t intrude into my personal space, I have no issues with me being the centre of attention. The only time I get worked up is when the curiosity reaches my bedroom,” he laughs. Salman admits that with time, he has mastered the art of anger management. “I’m quite composed these days,” he says proudly. “But I am human after all and I do get annoyed when I’m asked questions in a gruff manner. I lose it, if I find the tone, the body language and the intentions offensive.” And does marriage appear anywhere in the scheme of things right now “Marriage will have to wait. Though I might want to have children before that happens. Currently I’m trying to figure out a way to do that,” he laughs. A philanthropist at heart, Salman is always looking to expand his activities on the social service front. “I want to create awareness about Being Human. But I wouldn’t want people to quit their jobs or come to us in order to make money. I’m always keeping a close check on the people we’re working with,” he warns us politely. About his upcoming assignments he informs, “I’ll start shooting for the newer lot of films in a few months. Spacing out work has helped me start new projects with fresher mind and a positive approach.” Salman insists that he never fears failure. “I am a fighter. I might fall and fail but I’ll never be afraid to start all over again. I’ve achieved a lot in life. I was a regular Mumbaikar before I became Salman Khan, the star. I will continue to be the same person even if my stardom reaches newer and greater heights,” he signs off.
