Telangana ministers criticise Kiran Kumar Reddy's talk
Hyderabad: Telangana ministers condemned Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy’s statement that if the state is divided it would give rise to many problems. They reacted by saying it is to resolve the problems of Telangana region that the high command had taken the decision to give statehood to Telangana state. Panchayat raj minister K. Jana Reddy, IT minister Ponnala Laxmaiah and major irrigation minister P. Sudharshan Reddy told the reporters on Saturday that in the Congress party, everyone should respect the party’s highest decision making body Congress Working Committee’s decision. Recalling the recent statement by the Chief Minister in the Assembly that he will abide by the high command’s decision on Telangana and he will implement it, Jana Reddy demanded that the CM abide by his statement. The panchayat raj minister said that both the Seemandhra and Telangana people have problems, so leaders of both regions will place them before CWC for a solution. Kiran Kumar, Botsa Satyanarayana differ on resignations Hyderabad: Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy and PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana expressed differing opinions on the issue of resignations of Seemandhra MLAs and ministers in protest of bifurcation of the state. TThe PCC chief met the Chief Minister at his camp office on Saturday to discuss the issue of resignations. Satyanarayana reportedly told the Chief Minister that as per his information the Centre plans to approve the Telangana bill without seeking the state Assembly opinion. According to him formation of Telangana state cannot be stopped, but if all Seemandhra ministers and MLAs resign en mass then the high command may be forced to re-think its decision on state division. But the Chief Minister held a different opinion. He said after defeating the Telangana resolution alone can they think about resignations. The Chief Minister opined that if the state Assembly does not pass the Telangana resolution, Parliament cannot approve the Telangana bill. He also said that without seeking the Assembly's opinion on Telangana if the Union cabinet and Parliament approves the Telangana bill, it will not stand legal scrutiny in any court of law. Medical education minister Kondru Murali and former minister and senior MLA J.C. Diwakar Reddy were also present during the discussions. Many Seemandhra MLAs are of the opinion that resignations should be given before Telangana resolution comes to the Assembly or before the Union cabinet approves the Telangana note. They wonder of what use will be the resignations after the Assembly discusses the Telangana issue. Meanwhile, PCC chief Botsa wants to resign from his ministerial post. Finance minister Anam Rama Narayana Reddy while talking informally to the media said that the high command had informed him to resign from one of the posts according to the party's 'one man one post' policy. Under the circumstances nobody would like to continue as a minister with Seemandhra people demanding the resignation of all public representatives. According to Anam Botsa would like to continue in PCC post and resign from his ministerial post.
