Conditional pardon to kanda aide
Chanshivroop Singh, an employee in erstwhile MDLR company who had earlier expressed his willingness to become a prosecution witness in the Geetika suicide case in which former Haryana minister Gopal Goyal Kanda is an accused, has been pardoned by a city court on condition that he will make true disclosure about the alleged role of other accused. Additional chief metropolitan magistrate D.K. Jangala in his order said the chargesheet is based only on the circumstantial evidence, hence, Chanshivroop Singh’s testimony, who is not the main accused in the present case and has played a minor role, will be considered. The court said, “Therefore, in these circumstances, I tender the pardon to accused/applicant Chanshivroop Singh for commission of the alleged offences on the condition that he shall make a full and true disclosure of whole of the circumstance within his knowledge related to the offence and relating to all the accused persons regarding commission of the offence. The court also asked the investigation officer to produce Chanshiv-roop in the court on December 7 to accept his pardon.
