Mumbai: Indian captain Virat Virat Kohli registered yet another feat after he crossed left-handed batsman Suresh to be the top run-scoring Indian batsman in the T20Is. Kohli who scored 28 in the second T20I match against West Indies, went past Suresh Raina who was the previous record holder with 8392 T20I runs. After scoring 28, Kohli now tops the list with 8416 runs.

Also not to mention, Indian vice-captain Rohit Sharma (8291) and ODI opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan (6953), who are also in the list.

30-year-old Kohli who also has the second-highest T20I 50s under belt, is just behind 32-year-old Rohit Sharma who has 21 fifties under his belt. However, Kohli has taken 62 innings to achieve this feat in-comparison to Rohit who has taken 86 innings to register the record.

The 30-year-old Indian captain also has the second-highest T20I half-centuries under his name, only behind Rohit, who has 21 fifties to his name. However, it must be taken into account that Kohli has played just 62 innings as compared to Rohit’s 86.
