Rishabh Pant breaks MS Dhoni's historic T20I record with a quick fire 65
Mumbai: Indian wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant surpassed veteran Indian cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s record for the top score by an Indian wicket-keeper batsman in the third and final T20I.
The 21-year-old broke Dhoni’s record after he scored a sensible yet aggressive knock of 65 from 42 balls along with skipper Kohli who also scored his 50 in the shortest format against the West Indies.
Pant, who broke Dhoni’s record on yesterday, had formed a 106-runs partnership with Kohli as the pair helped India chase down a tricky target of 147 against the West Indies team.
Earlier, Dhoni became the highest scorer in the T20Is after he scored 56 versus England in 2017. Moreover, Dhoni’s 52 against South Africa in Centurion became third on the list of top scorers by an Indian wicket-keeper batsman in the T20Is.
