Jasper: Team India's wicket-keeper Mahendra Singh Dhoni has not openly expressed his views on the army logo on his gloves but he believes that it was made a mountain out of a molehill over his decision to wear the army logo on his stumping gloves.
Dhoni had a detailed discussion with India's other former wicket-keeper Farokh Engineer on this issue on Saturday, a day before India's crucial match against Australia.
Dhoni, who will turn 38 on July 7 has been asked to remove the said logo off his gloves and is likely to hide it in the remaining World Cup matches.
Speaking exclusively over telephone from England, Farokh Engineer said, "I had a chat with MSD yesterday and we both agreed that somebody who had nothing better to do made a mountain out of a molehill".
"I said (to Dhoni) I was truly proud of what he did to show solidarity towards our armed forces, especially as he is connected with our army as we all Indians are".
"If I was in his place I would be only too proud to carry on what he did", Engineer signed off.
Interestingly, the Indian cricket board has so far not issued any statement on this subject.
The CEO Rahul Johri is likely to have reached (London) to witness the match at the Oval.
