Mumbai: New Zealand has won the toss and chosen to bat. Indian skipper Virat Kohli mentioned that he would have also chosen to bat had he won the toss, considering the wickets, conditions, and the last two games India played in Manchester in the tournament.
New Zealand are going with Lockie Ferguson who was out with a hamstring injury. Ferguson replaces Tim Southee in the squad.
India also go ahead with just one change in the squad.
Spinner Yuzvendra Chahal replaces Kuldeep Yadav. The rest of the team remains the same, meaning Shami will be rested and Bhuvneshwar Kumar will be the third pace bowler alongside Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya.
