ICC CWC'19: Virat Kohli mum about MS Dhoni
MANCHESTER: The Indian camp is tightlipped about the impending retirement of M. S. Dhoni. Bidding farewell to one of the finest leaders the sport has seen would be an emotional moment but skipper Virat Kohli is not ready to give away.
For Kohli, respect for Dhoni will always be “sky high”. “The opportunities that he gave us and the faith that he showed in us and the way he’s handled the whole team in transition over so many years. And now we are the ones taking Indian cricket forward. We understand the importance of that process. When a person has done so much for the team you have to appreciate and acknowledge that he’s taken the respect for Indian cricket so high all over the world. From that point of view, we are all very grateful for what he’s done. I’m delighted that I have been able to play for so many years alongside him,” Kohli said.
