Chennai Super Kings shut down Dhoni's retirement rumours with Game of Thrones tweet
Mumbai: Virat Kohli recent Twitter post sparked MS Dhoni's retirement rumours as the current India skipper recalled the former skipper's exploits in the T20 World Cup in 2016.
The rumours sky-rocketed to such an extent that some people believed the possibility of Dhoni calling a press conference on Thursday to announce his retirement.
However, chief selector MSK Prasad and Dhoni's wife Sakshi made it abundantly clear that the 38-year-old was not planning to retire.
Amid all the retirement speculations, Chennai Super Kings took it to Twitter to douse the rumours. Despite not making direct mention of Dhoni, CSK took to a reference of Game of Thrones character Arya Stark and tweeted: "Not 7oday" -- the number seven denoting MS Dhoni's jersey number.
