Key moment was MS Dhoni's run-out, says Tendulkar
Hyderabad: For Sachin Tendulkar, it was Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s run-out that proved to be the game changer in the final.
“The key moment was Dhoni’s run-out. But also in patches when Bumrah bowled those critical to even out Malinga’s one poor over was also crucial. And the last over, thought Malinga finished the game out beautifully. And as for the final, we knew we defended 129 in the final two years ago, so we were confident,” Tendulkar said.
Jasprit Bumrah is already the best bowler in the world but his best is yet to come, avowed Tendulkar, who also termed young leg-spinner Rahul Chahar as “fabulous” talent.
“Let me go on record and say that he (Jasprit Bumrah) is the best bowler in the world at this stage and the best is yet to come hopefully,” Tendulkar said.
“Rahul Chahar stands out. I shared my opinion (with Mahela) before he played his first game and I thought he was fabulous. Sixth to the 15th over, he bowled with a slip there and that was some real quality bowling in a crucial match,” Tendulkar said.
