Kuldeep Yadav on verge of breaking a massive record

Mumbai: In recent years, Kuldeep Yadav has been India’s most consistent spin bowler along with Yuzvendra Chahal. His ability to pick up wickets consistently in the middle overs has proved be a huge boon for Team India.
Ever since his debut in 2017, his role along with Chahal has helped Virat Kohli’s team become one of the most consistent and efficient teams in the history of ODI cricket.
Today, when Kohli and Co. take on the Windies, Kuldeep Yadav will be looking to add a big record to his profile. The left-arm chinaman bowler already has 96 wickets in just 53 ODIs. He needs just four wickets to reach a hundred ODI wickets. This will make him the fastest Indian to reach 100 wickets in ODI matches.
He could have achieved this feat in the ICC World Cup 2019, but a disappointing outing meant that lost out on the opportunity. This record is currently being held by Mohammed Shami with 100 wickets in 56 matches.
If Kuldep Yadav picks up a four-wicket haul in the match tonight, then he will have the record to his name in this match itself. In his career he already picked up four 4-wicket hauls and one 5-wicket haul.
