Mumbai: The ‘mother of all matches’ is finally going to happen today as India is set to clash with its arch-rivals Pakistan. India who has remained unbeaten so far in the World Cup will look to pick up another win after enduring a wash out game along with New Zealand.

After the washout, both India and New Zealand shared a point each. However, India’s plan to pick two points seems to be in stake as the weather reports suggest that there’s 50 per cent chance of raining. The initial hours will be overcast, while the second half may see heavy drizzles.

During the match day, the MET department stated that there might be 'sunny intervals' with low chances of rain around the afternoon. Rain could hamper delay the start slightly, but there will not be a complete washout.

Manchester has witnessed rain all through-out the week, and it has also been wet on Friday and Saturday with light drizzles. The ground staff kept the pitch under the covers. They also covered the square area and parts of the outfield with sheets. Although, the grounds-men were able to do some bit of work on the pitch before the crucial match. If the rain again washes out this match, there might be a massive outbreak.

Pitch Report: If we go to history, then we can see that the pitch at Manchester has always been pacer’s favourites. However, this Sunday we might get to see a flat pitch.  Out of all the 45 ODIs that were played at Manchester, only 18 matches have been won by the team that batted first.
