ICC CWC'19: Anushka Sharma joins Virat Kohli before World Cup match vs Afghanistan
Mumbai: Bollywood actor Anushka Sharma was spotted in London with husband and Indian captain Virat Kohli, earlier this week, the NH10- star headed to England while Team India is on a short break before the World Cup match against Afghanistan.
In the previous match, India registered a comprehensive win against arch-rivals Pakistan at Old Trafford in Manchester on Sunday. India, who currently is at fourth position in the points table, will play Afghanistan after a five-day interval in Southampton.
After Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli were spotted hanging out in London, their photos went viral on social media.
However, the wives and the families of the Indian cricketers seemed to have joined their spouses in UK. Earlier, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had stated, wives and families will be allowed to join the Indian players for the first 20 days of the tournament. The wives and families will be allowed to stay for a period of only 15 days.
Injured Indian opener, Shikhar Dhawan shared pictures of him and his family along with his opening partner Rohit Sharma and his spouse, Ritika Sajdeh and daughter Samaira.
Dhawan captioned the photo as - "Enjoying the local train journey with the Sharma family."
However, Ritika Sajdeh was spotted cheering for Rohit and Team India from the stands at Old Trafford as the hit-man went on to strike 140 runs in his team's 89-run (DLS) victory over Pakistan.
Speaking after the match, Rohit Sharma credited his family for helping him be in "good space" in the initial stages of his World Cup 2019 campaign.
After the match, Rohit Sharma had said, it was due to his family that has helped him to be in "good space" in the start of his 2019 World Cup campaign.
Rohit stated, "I am in a very good phase in my life. I have a newly born daughter and that has really put me in a good space. I'm enjoying my cricket, coming off a great IPL campaign and then starting off here."
After winning 3 out of first 4 matches, India now faces Afghanistan at The Rose Bowl in Southampton on June 22.
