Arjun Tendulkar bags a fifer for colts

The hosts wrapped up the game on the third morning itself in the four-day game, and took seven points from the match.

Arjun Tendulkar took his second five-wicket haul in three matches, as Mumbai completed an innings and 103 runs win over Railways in the Cooch Behar U-19 tournament, at Sachin Tendulkar Gymkhana, Kandivali, on Tuesday.

Arjun, who had taken four wickets in the second innings on Monday, added one more to his tally on Tuesday morning (5/44), as Railways, who started the day at 127/7, were all-out for 136 in 41.2 overs. The hosts wrapped up the game on the third morning itself in the four-day game, and took seven points from the match.

The junior Tendulkar, who took a five-wicket haul against Madhya Pradesh at BKC in the second innings, followed it up with four-wicket haul against Assam in the second innings too. Now, against Railways, after going wicketless in the first innings, he delivered in the second innings again.

The big win, though, was set up by Yashasvi Jaiswal, whose double hundred helped Mumbai post a huge total of 389 in the first innings, after home team skipper Divyaansh Saxena opted to bat first on winning the toss. Jaiswal struck 218 off 233 balls, laced with 25 boundaries and four sixes. His 148-run partnership with lower-order batsman Sidak Singh (63) helped Mumbai recover after they slumped to 169/7. Abhimanyu Vashishtha took 8/30 to bundle Railways for 150 in the first innings, helping Mumbai take a lead of 239 runs.

Following on, Railways batsmen failed to tackle Tendulkar's left-arm pace in the second innings. Sidak Singh also took three wickets.
