Mumbai: Mumbai Indians’ Kiwi bowling coach Shane Bond backed Jasprit Bumrah to excel in England during the Champions Trophy. “He has got a skill set which is going to make him a successful bowler. It is his first 50 over tournament in England, so it will be a little difficult. The way he has been bowling in this tournament, if he carries that form to the Champions Trophy, then he is going to play a big role in Inda’s success,” said Bond.
Bond felt Bumrah delivered under pressure for Mumbai and India. “I think he will be a world class bowler across all formats.”
Rohit Sharma said Bumrah had all the credentials to be a top bowler in limited overs. “I don’t want to put extra pressure on him by saying he is currently the top bowler (In T20 cricket).”
Parthiv not worried about INDIA selection Parthiv Patel finished the IPL with 395 runs in 16 games emerging as the top run-getter for champions Mumbai Indians besides his contribution behind the stumps. But Parthiv said he wasn’t not worried about India selection. “I have around for years. I don’t play cricket to get selected. I am enjoying and have been at the peak of my game.”
