Sachin Tendulkar and VVS Laxman summoned
Mumbai: Former India captain Sachin Tendulkar and VVS Laxman have been asked to file their response for the complaints made by Sanjeev Gupta, a life member of the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA) for their multiple role with the IPL teams and also serving with the BCCI as its CAC (Cricket Advisory Committee) member, thus creating conflict of interest.
Sachin Tendulkar is an icon the Mumbai Indians, whereas VVS Laxman is attached with the Sun Riser Hyderabad team.
Both cricketers have been asked to file their reply on or before April 28 to the Ethics Officer.
"Take further notice that on your failure to respond to the present notice, the Ethics Officer shall be constrained to proceed in your absence, without giving any further opportunity of filing a response to the Complaint, to you", the notice dated April 24, sent to them.
Former captain Saurav Ganguly, who is the president of the CAB (Cricket Association of Bengal) had recently deposed before the Ombudsman (Justice DK Jain)
