Veteran Rajesh Pawar shows he's still got it
Parkophene Cricketer’s captain Rajesh Pawar stunned the Mumbai Police team with a record spell of 6 wickets in 6 overs, giving away no runs. The left-arm spinner’s magical spell in the first innings helped his team take the opposition out for just 19 runs at the Kennedy Sea Face venue in the Kanga League on Sunday.
Pawar, the chairman of the Under-19 Mumbai Selection Panel, was on top in the second innings as well where he took 3 wickets for 29 runs. Overjoyed after his splendid spell, the 37-year old said, “No one has ever had such figures in the league. I have been playing in the Kanga league for over 15 years, I don’t know if I was lucky for conceding zero runs and taking six wickets.”
“I am not worried about getting selected for any domestic team, I am staying fit and if a chance comes, I will take it,” said Pawar.
