Dubai: Sandeep Lamichhane scripted history as he became the first Nepalese player to be part of an IPL franchise.

The 17-year-old leg-break googly bowler, who will represent Delhi Daredevils, said he was “not surprised” at his selection. “It will be a great honour to be associated with the IPL. I will try my best to perform in every match I play. I am not thinking about money at all. Getting an opportunity to play itself a big thing. And, to be the first Nepal player to represent in India is an amazing feeling,” he added.
