Mohd Shami's wife arrested
Hasin Jahan, wife of Indian cricketer Mohammed Shami was arrested after she reached her husband’s house and created a ruckus. The incident happened in Amroha in Uttar Pradesh.
According to a report by NDTV, Hasin Jahan arrived at her husband’s house in Sahaspur village late on Sunday night. She was asked to leave by her in-laws, to which she responded by locking herself up in a room with her child.
The police was called and they took Hasin Jahan into custody when the officials failed to control the situation.
"I have come to my husband's house and I have every right to stay here. My in-laws are misbehaving with me and the police is supporting them. They should have arrested them but they are taking me to the police station,” said Hasin Jahan.
Mohammed Shami currently is playing for Kings XI Punjab in the IPL.
In March, Shami was charged for dowry harassment under Section 498A and for sexual harassment under section 354A.
Hasin Jahan had filed a petition with the Alipore court regarding the domestic violence and had demanded 7 lakh per month to maintain the family.
The court had accepted her plea and had allotted 80,000 for her daughter.
