Live| WI vs Ind, 3rd ODI: Ajinkya Rahane leads charge as India go looking for big total

Despite the loss of early wickets, India look to put up a challenging total, with Ajinkya Rahane at the crease.

North Sound: Yuvraj Singh was just looking to get into the groove of things, but was deceived by Bishoo. India are now looking to re-build with Dhoni and Rahane at the crease.

India are looking to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the 5-match ODI series, at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, in North Sound, Antigua, on Friday.

India: 116-3 from 30 overs

Ajinkya Rahane brings up his 19th half century, as he ticks the India innings on at a steady rate. He will be looking to stick to the crease with MS Dhoni, as India look to rebuild from the early wickets.

India: 101-3 from 27 overs

WICKET! Yuvraj played for the regular leg-spin, but the Bishoo's delivery did not take any turn. The Umpire's decision was not out, but the Windies went for the review, which showed that the ball would have gone on to hit the top of the off stump.

India: 74-2 from 20 overs

Yuvraj Singh has come in to stabilise the innings, with Rahane playing a stellar role at the other end. West Indies made a good start to the match, but have not been able to capitalise on it, and have let India back into the game.

India: 34-2 from 9.3 overs

WICKET! This has proved to be a rather tricky wicket. Holder gets some extra bounce, as he maintains the line outside the 5th stump while bowling to Kohli, who offers a tame poke. Debutant Kyle Hope takes a good reflex catch to dismiss the India skipper.

India: 11-1 from 2.4 overs

WICKET! Cummins banged it in short as Dhawan tried an uppish cut. However, there was not enough pace on the ball to make it carry past the boundary. Roston Chase takes a good catch at third man.

India: 3-0 from 1 over

A steady start by the two openers. Both Rahane and Dhawan look ready to take the quick singles, to put the Windies fielders under pressure.

Toss:

West Indies captain Jason Holder has won the toss, and has decided to field first.

The toss has been delayed due to a wet outfield.

Teams:

West Indies XI: Evin Lewis, Kyle Hope, Shai Hope (w), Jason Mohammed, Roston Chase, Rovman Powell, Jason Holder (c), Ashley Nurse, Devendra Bishoo, Kesrick Williams, Miguel Cummins.

India XI: Ajinkya Rahane, Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli(c), Yuvraj Singh, Hardik Pandya, MS Dhoni(w), Kedar Jadhav, Ravichandran Ashwin, Kuldeep Yadav, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Umesh Yadav.

Preview: India will look to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in their five-ODI series against the West Indies at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, in North Sound, Antigua, on Friday.

Virat Kohli and co have already taken a 1-0 lead from the first two matches, with the first game being washed out at the Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain.

These are crucial times for the Windies, as they try to climb into the top eight of the ICC ODI ranking, which will ensure direct qualification for the 2019 ICC World Cup; the deadline for direct qualification September 30.

India on the other hand, are looking for redemption after a humiliating ICC Champions Trophy finals defeat at the hands of Pakistan, earlier this month.
