Tottenham bans individual for throwing cup at Chelsea's goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga

In the same game, Chelsea's Antonio Rudiger was allegedly racially abused by Tottenham fans.

London: Tottenham Hotspurs banned the individual responsible for throwing a cup at Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga during Premier League match.

"We can confirm that we have identified and issued an immediate ban to the individual responsible for throwing a cup at Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga during Sunday's Premier League home fixture," the club said in a statement.

Chelsea on Sunday defeated Tottenham 2-0 in the clash.

The club quoted Football (Offences) Act 1991 and stated that fans are not allowed to throw any object within the ground without authority or excuse, chant anything of an indecent or racist nature, enter on the playing area or any adjacent area to which spectators are not generally admitted without lawful authority or excuse.

In the same game, Chelsea's Antonio Rudiger was allegedly racially abused by Tottenham fans.

Another controversy erupted in the game after Heung-min Son was sent off the park for kicking Rudiger.

After suffering the loss at the hands of Chelsea, Tottenham has dropped to the seventh spot in the Premier League standings.
