KC College boys and girls reign supreme in RFYS Athletics meet
Kishinchand Chellaram College athletes ruled the roost by claiming top honours in three of the six categories in the Mumbai-leg of the Reliance Foundation Youth Sports Athletics Championship that concluded here on Tuesday.
KC College emerged as the best in the senior boys and college boys and girls categories respectively. Their successes came on first two days of action at the Priyadarshini Park.
Father Agnel Multipurpose School & Junior College, Vashi too had their say clinching the title in the junior boys and senior girls categories. They were joint winners in the junior boys alongwith Children's Academy, Malad.
Pratham Kotiyan of Ryan International School, Sanpada and Sharvari Parulekar of Udayachal High School hogged the limelight in the last two days of the championships. Prathmesh claimed the junior boys sprint double winning the 100m (11.92 secs) and 200m (23.95 secs) while Sharvari ruled in the junior girls' long jump (5.00 metres) and triple jump (11.08m). Both were adjudged best athletes in their respective categories.
As many as 1,034 student-athletes from 559 schools and colleges took part in the championships spread over four days.

Junior boys: Joint winners -- Fr Agnel Multipurpose School & Junior College, Vashi and Children's Academy, Malad. Best athlete: Pratham Kotiyan (Ryan International School, Sanpada).
Junior girls: Winners: Udayachal High School, Vikhroli; Runners-up: Children's Academy, Malad. Best athlete: Sharvari Parulekar (Udayachal High School).
Senior boys: Winners: Kishinchand Chellaram College; Runners-up: Navy Children School. Best athlete: Jai Bhoir (Karamveer Bhaurao Patil College).
Senior girls: Winners: Fr Agnel Multipurpose School & Junior College, Vashi; Runners-up: Thakur College of Science and Commerce, Kandivali. Best athlete: Kirti Bhoite (Thakur College).
College boys: Winners: Kishinchand Chellaram College; Runners-up: NCRD Sterling College. Best athlete: Prathamesh Tandel (SK Somaiya Jr College of Arts and Commerce).
College girls: Winners: Kishinchand Chellaram College; Joint runners-up: MD Shah College and St Andrews College. Best athlete: Diandra Valladares (VG Vaze College of Arts).
