Wimbledon 2017: Ageless Roger Federer to take on Tomas Berdych in semis

The Swiss maestro, the seven-time champion of the grass-court Grand Slam tournament, had reached the semi-finals for the 12th time.

London: 18-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer will aim to book his place in the finals of the Wimbledon when he takes on 11th seed Tomas Berdych of Czech Republic in the semi-finals of the men's singles event here today.

The Swiss maestro, the seven-time champion of the grass-court Grand Slam tournament, had reached the semi-finals for the 12th time with a 6-4, 6-2, 7-6 (7-4) win over Milos Raonic in a clash that lasted one hour and 58 minutes.

Federer is bidding to reach his eighth consecutive final and 11th overall at Wimbledon.

The 35-year-old, who is vying for his seventh title at the All England Club, is also trying to become the second oldest man to a reach a Wimbledon final in the Open Era.
