Wimbledon 2017: Roger Federer enters 11th Wimbledon final, to face Marin Cilic

Federer defeated 11th-seeded Berdych 7-6(4), 7-6(4) 6-4 in the semi-final contest that lasted for two hours and 18 minutes.

London: 18-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer defeated Czech Tomas Berdych in straight-sets on Friday to enter his 11th Wimbledon final.

Federer defeated 11th-seeded Berdych 7-6(4), 7-6(4) 6-4 in the semi-final contest that lasted for two hours and 18 minutes.

His triumph over the Czech No.11 seed was his least dominant performance of The Championships so far.

He will face Croatia's Marin Cilic on Sunday after the seventh seed beat American 24th seed Sam Querrey 6-7 (6-8) 6-4 7-6 (7-3) 7-5 on the Centre Court.

The Swiss maestro had won his past seven matches against Berdych, and 18 of 24 in all, but the Czech made him work for number 19.

Federer is now the second oldest finalist after Ken Rosewall who finished runner-up in 1974 at the age of 39.
