AirPods 3 accidentally leaked by Apple with brand new design
The Apple AirPods have been one of the company’s breakout successes in recent years. Its success can be compared with the iPhone as well as the iPad, two products which have been the sole reason where Apple is where they are today. Launched alongside the iPhone 7, the Apple AirPods have quickly become the most adopted true-wireless earphones across the world. The second-generation AirPods, launched earlier this year came with major improvements over the original version, but was dressed in the same design. Now, it appears that Apple is switching things up a bit and will debut the AirPods 3 in a whole new design and could also come with noise-cancelling capabilities.
The notion that the third generation AirPods coming soon is an exciting prospect. Guilherme Rambo of 9to5Mac has found that Apple has accidentally revealed them in the latest Apple software. As per the report, Apple has let slip that they are preparing to introduce the AirPods 3 in its upcoming iOS 13.2 beta release. 9to5Mac states that there is a new icon found in the beta release in a subsection of Accessibility settings which has revealed the next version of the AirPods which comes with the B298 code name. If this information happens to be accurate, then a new design will be coming which will take the AirPods in a whole new direction.
Forbes reports, “This makes sense. Apple rarely keeps its products looking the same for too long, usually because new features and technology allow the company to refine the look and styling. And AirPods have looked pretty much identical since they were released back in December 2016.”
9to5Mac claims that these AirPods could be announced later on this month at an Apple event and the software details that the new earbuds will have multiple listening modes which may or may not include noise-cancelling.
From the looks of it, the new AirPods look like they fit more snuggly in the ear cavity which will help in reducing ambient sounds which indicates that they will have some form of noise isolation. Pair this feature with active noise cancellation and the new AirPods will be an even more exciting product.
