Samsung launches MicroLED displays in India, starting at Rs 3.5 Crore
Samsung has today launched an extra-ordinary new MicroLED display called ’The Wall’ which comes in 146-inch (370.8 cm) in 4K definition, 219-inch (556.3 cm) in 6K definition to 292-inch (741.7 cm) in 8K definition. However, the most amazing thing about these displays are the prices, ranging from Rs 3.5 Crore to Rs 12 Crore.
But here's probably why Samsung decided to price it like that. The device is said to have 0.8 pixel technology, depth of less than 30mm, AI up-scaling, Quantum HDR technology, peak brightness of 2,000 nits and 120Hz video rate.
Designed to never turn off, its self-light emitting diodes have a 1,00,000-hour lifetime. ‘When the screen is not used, the Ambient Mode can display a variety of curated art from paintings, photographs and video art to customizable pictures with digital frames’, says Samsung.
The Wall comes equipped with Quantum Processor Flex enabled with the AI picture quality engine. Quantum Processor Flex is a machine learning based picture quality engine that analyzes millions of image data to automatically calibrate the original low resolution image according to the display. It can also be connected to any OS through a physical HDMI inpu for ease of usage to the customers, according to Samsung.
There are two variants in this range of MicroLED displays –
