Dell unveils XPS 13 with 8th-gen Intel Core processors

Dell had showcased its latest generation of XPS ultrabooks at this year’s CES last month and now the company has launched the series in India. The 2018 series of XPS laptops start at Rs 94,790 for Core i5 variant with a full HD display and go up to Rs 1,59,790 for the Core i7 variant with Ultra HD display.

The Dell XPS 13 sports a 13.3-inch display with narrow bezels that renders pictures at a resolution of 4K, along with touch-based inputs, encased in brushed aluminium. Users can equip their laptops with an 8th generation Intel Core i5 or Core i7 processor, which supports up to 16GB of LPDDR3 RAM, equipped with an Intel Ultra HD Graphic card 620 GPU and up to 512GB of PCIe SSD storage.

Dell claims that it’s the first laptop built with GORE Thermal Insulation, which provides thermal conductivity levels lower than air in a thin, flexible format, keeping your laptop cool while it works hard. This insulation directs heat out of the device, lowering the temperature and enabling greater performance.

The XPS 13 also comes equipped with USB Type-C 3.1 (Gen 1) ports with power delivery and display port support, password-free log-in with Windows Hello and IR camera.  The laptop is claimed to offer up to 19 hrs, 46 minutes of battery life with a built-in of 52 Whr battery, with FHD enabled. The laptop is available in rose gold, alpine white and platinum silver with black carbon fibre palm rest.
