Linksys announces Velop Dual-Band home Wi-Fi mesh for Indian market

The nodes work together as a Wi-Fi system to provide reliable wireless connectivity throughout the home.

Linksys is expanding its Velop family of routers with the Dual-Band modular mesh Wi-Fi system. The system can be installed in various mesh configurations to support any type of home, floorplan or Wi-Fi footprint. Both Dual-Band and Tri-Band nodes are interoperable and interchangeable, allowing for easy upgradability based on a customers’ need.

The nodes work together as a Wi-Fi system to provide reliable wireless connectivity throughout the home. Each Velop “node” is a powerful Dual-Band AC1300 device that can act as a parent node or client node to deliver Wi-Fi all around the home. The Velop node is a Dual-Band AC 2x2 802.11ac Wave 2 with MU-MIMO radio configuration with combined speeds up to 1300Mbps. The system uses only one Wi-Fi network name and password.

Velop Dual-Band leverages Linksys Intelligent Mesh Technology, which Linksys software and hardware to deliver Wi-Fi via the fastest path to the internet for the best experience possible. The system can be set up from an Android or iOS device using the Linksys App. Velop also includes custom Amazon Alexa “skills” that can turn the guest network on/off and read back the credentials of both the main and guest networks.

The 1-Pack setup is priced at Rs 7,999, whereas the 2-Pack system sells for Rs 14,999. Users can also opt for 3-Pack mesh priced at Rs 21,999.
