Amazon Echo Show brings a screen to Alexa
Amazon has launched the next generation of its AI-powered speaker – the Echo Show. The Echo Show has a 7-inch touchscreen display to let the users interact with Alexa and her information visually.
Resembling a tablet with a large speaker, the Echo Show lets you capture images and ask the device questions or command it to do things like order food for delivery, or dim your connected lights, just like the old echo. But, you can see many useful things on Echo’s native screen. You can do video calling with anyone through its front camera. Alexa can also show YouTube DIY tutorials for simple tasks like cooking, cleaning or anything from YouTube.
It also has Dolby-powered speakers and eight microphones for dealing with the audio requirements. You can also view your Amazon Music playlist and select the desired one to play. As it is an echo underneath, you can connect it to your home automation systems and let Alexa control most of your electrical appliances through your voice commands.
The new Echo Show will cost you around $229 and will be available in black and white colour variants. The Echo Show will be shipping only in the US from June 28.
