The demand for robot vacuum cleaners is slowly rising in the market. However, despite promising portability, most of them cannot be carried around easily, no at least without a bag. iRobot has a solution to this issue — the Roomba 606 robot vacuum cleaner. It’s priced at Rs 19,990 under a special launch offer and is claimed to fit in pockets.

The Roomba 606 sports a disc-shaped design, which is claimed to help it reach under most furniture and other hard to reach areas. The user only needs to press the ‘CLEAN’ button and Roomba 606 starts its vacuum cleaning without the need for any programming.  The cleaner sports a 3-Stage cleaning system with two multi-surface brushes and an Edge Sweeping Brush. It also features an auto-adjusting cleaning head, which can adjust its height when it makes the transition from floor to carpet and vice versa.

The cleaner’s sensors along with the company proprietary iAdapt Navigation technology helps the bot to make more than 60 decisions/sec to adapt to the home interiors. The inbuilt cliff detection sensors prevent the robot from falling down stairs and other drop-offs.

When it comes to refuelling its tank, the Roomba 606 can automatically return to its Home Base charging station, to recharge either at the end of cleaning run or when it's low on battery.
