Apple Watch 3 expected this year
If reports are to be believed then Apple is planning to unveil its third-generation Apple Watch alongside its iPhone 8 flagship device. It seems like Quanta Computer, like always will be the primary manufacturer for Apple’s Watch.
Quanta Computer has been with Apple since the original device began a production ramp-up in early 2015. Quanta was again the sole source of Apple Watch manufacturing in 2016. According to the China-based Economic Daily News, Apple will be keeping Quanta as its main Apple Watch supplier for the Apple Watch Series 3 this year as well. “The move is expected to lead Quanta into a “strong” second half of 2017, further cementing the next-generation Apple Watch’s debut this upcoming fall,” reported MacRumors.
As far as the specifications of the upcoming Apple Watch 3 are concerned, the wearable device is expected to receive bumps to processing speeds along with an extended battery life. Apart from this, the smartwatch is also heavily-speculated to cellular connectivity. This will apparently allow users to make phone calls, send iMessages and stream Apple Music without needing to be tethered to iPhone devices. It goes without saying that none of the above given information has been confirmed by Apple as yet.
