Rockford Fosgate unveils DSR1 audio processor
Rockford Fosgate, a car audio systems maker has unveiled a demonstration vehicle fitted throughout with their premium car audio components. The demonstration vehicle, based on a TATA Nexon, was designed and installed completely in India.
The vehicle is fitted with Rockford Fosgate’s latest product, the DSR1 audio processor, and throughout boasts a range of Rockford Fosgate’s audio components, comprising of Power Series T400X4ad and T500X1BDCP Amplifiers, T1650-S 6.5-inch Power series Component Speakers and multiple Punch Series P3SD4-12 - 12-inch Subwoofers.
The installation has retained the factory radio by utilising the Rockford Fosgate DSR1 processor, demonstrating a CANBUS connected factory radio. The DSR1 claims to be the real solution for replacing the factory amplifier and act as a seamless bridge between factory equipment and aftermarket amplifiers and speakers in vehicles.
Co-developed with ADS, the DSR1 claims to combine a full-featured 3Sixty digital signal processor with a flashable iDatalink Maestro integration module. The DSR1 can be used out-of-the-box with high or low- level input or with a quick flash download adds vehicle specific firmware to enable integration without the loss of factory equipped controls and features. Once connected, complete control of the sound profile can be adjusted using the proprietary Rockford Fosgate PerfectTune software on any Apple or Android device.
