Up goes the finger!
Fingerprint sensors are currently topping smart phone specs lists. Last week, Vivo also joined this trend by launching two new devices; V3 and V3 Max, both with fingerprint sensors. Here’s our take:
We were quite impressed with the 360 degree sensor of the V3 and V3 Max: it is fast and easy to set up. Conveniently located at the back panel, the sensor also allows you to take quick selfies, with just a single tap.
Design-wise, both the smart phones look similar with a light and slim metallic body with a 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla glass and full HD display with1280 x720p resolution. The only difference is the screen size. While the V3 Max comes with a 5.5-inch, the V3 sports a 5-inch display.
The 13 megapixels primary and 8 megapixels secondary camera of these phones feature proprietary Phase Detection Auto Focus technology and LED Flash. The company claims that it has incorporated a dedicated RAM for the camera, which enables faster lens reaction.
The V3 and V3 Max pack in a 3 GB and 4 GB RAM, respectively. Both the phones run on an Octa-core Snapdragon processor with Vivo’s Funtouch OS 2.5, based on Android 5.1. The company has introduced the split-screen feature, which would enable you to run two phone functions at a time. Both the devices come with 32 GB internal memory.
The devices have a good battery life with a 2550 mAh battery for V3 and 3000 mAh battery for V3 Max.
The Vivo V3 and V3 Max are mid-range devices priced at Rs 17,980 and Rs 23,980, respectively. It’s pretty evident that the higher price for V3 Max is just for the bigger screen size.
