DxO One camera for Android is here with USB type C

The one-inch sensor on the DxO One can capture up to 20.2 MP images, and the f/1.8 aperture should allow for solid low-light performance.

Most people know DxO for their DxOMark smartphone camera scores, which is currently topped by Google’s Pixel 2. Well DxO also makes a detachable camera accessory for iPhones called DxO One camera and now its available for Android.

In mid-October, DxO announced that its DxO One camera would finally be coming to Android after having first launched for the iPhone in 2015. The Android version of the camera will be powered using the type C port of your phone.

While DxO isn’t doing an “official” launch of the Android camera just yet, but if you’d like to get in on the action early, you can sign up for the company’s “Early Access pack” for $499 (Approx Rs 32,205) over at the DxO website. Early birds will also get a waterproof case for submerging the camera up to 45-meters, as well as DxO PhotoLab image editing software.

As far as specifications are concerned The one-inch sensor on the DxO One can capture up to 20.2 MP images, and the f/1.8 aperture should allow for solid low-light performance. There's a fixed focal lens of 32mm, and it's capable of capturing images in both JPEG and RAW.

Currently the camera supports the following devices: the HTC U11, Huawei Mate 9, Huawei P10, LG G9, LG V20, Moto Z, Nexus 5X, Nokia 8, Nubia Z11 mini, Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017), Samsung Note 8, Samsung S8, and Huawei Honor 9. There is a request option for other devices on the page as well.
