New Humsafar mobile app delivers diesel to doorstep of bulk users

Hotels, construction sites, hospitals and housing societies in the national capital region can avail of the services

New Delhi: Bulk buyers of diesel such as hotels, hospitals and housing societies in the national capital region can now get the fuel delivered to them in just a few clicks, with the government’s newly launched mobile app ‘Humsafar’.

Launching the app, Labour Minister Santosh Gangwar said, “Innovative tech ideas like 'Humsafar' will bring new technology and know-how to the market as well as generate employment that will positively impact the economy as well as the bulk consumers of diesel.”

The app’s delivery circle is currently restricted to the NCR cities, including Gurugram, Ghaziabad, Noida, Faridabad, Hapur, Kundli, Manesar, and Bahadurgarh, apart from Delhi.

"This would cut down unsafe practices of transporting the fuel, and ensure a highly-secure mode of transport by Humsafar delivery dispensers,” Sanya Goel, director and founder of Humsafar, said.

Humsafar promises good quality and right quantity of fuel, apart from live tracking of the delivery vehicle, automated billing, delivery within 8 hours and no spillage and wastage of fuel.

Humsafar’s delivery fleet has 12 bowser tankers with capacity varying from 4 kilolitres to 6 kilolitres. The company employs 35 people, excluding the bowser crews.
