App of all apps

Google's Triangle has become the talk of the town.

So this app for all apps has made the whole world sit up, and in a good way. Google’s recent release, Triangle, an experimental app, has arrived for users to assure better data management on their smart phones. This app for apps is being test run in the Philippines. With Triangle, it is easy to find out how much data remains in your account and track the most data thirsty apps. There is even hope for blocking individual apps from drawing data unnecessarily.

Tech circuits see this as a pivotal discovery after the Data Saver mode to its mobile Chrome browser and data saver feature in Pixel Phones. The problem is not with limited data usage everywhere, what matters is an overdose of it.

“The problem of limited data is not a concern here in the US, where unlimited data plans are the norm, and bandwidth is more readily available. However, in a number of emerging markets, mobile data usage is often a concern. With Triangle, Google is experimenting with a different way to cut down on mobile data by giving users more granular control over how that data is being used,” writes Techcrunch.

There’s something new on offer, like reward data to try out new apps. In exchange of existing apps, extra data gets added. In the Philippines, Globe and Smart prepaid users are the beneficiaries of this interesting scheme. The freebie can be utilised on the apps recommended by Google.

From Techcrunch report, no formal announcement came about Triangle's launch and similarly, no update is available on the future plans of Triangle, regarding where it can be expected next and how accessible it is going to be and so on. Android and iOS platforms offer Triangle for free in the Philippines.
