LG to launch world's largest 88-inch 8K OLED TV soon

The new TV is an upgrade over LG's existing 77-inch display with 4K resolution.

LG will soon showcase its world’s first 88-inch 8K OLED display TV at upcoming CES 2018. According to Engadget, the upcoming Television is the highest resolution TV manufactured yet. As of now, further details regarding the 8K TV’s price and specifications are expected to be revealed soon once it goes official at CES 2018.

Moreover, the new TV is an upgrade over LG’s existing 77-inch display with 4K resolution. The 77-inch OLED television comes with a price tag of $20,000 (approximately Rs 12,70,100). Brands such as LG, Sony and Panasonic are already offering 77-inch.

Additionally, LG got approval from the South Korean trade ministry to develop a new organic light-emitting diode (OLED) panel production facility in China. The company will reportedly invest in large-sized OLED production in China.

Besides, Samsung recently launched QLED curved monitor for gaming enthusiasts in India, priced at Rs 1,50,000.
