It seems that Apple is planning to delay the release of some major features planned for iOS 12, until 2019. A fresh report suggests that the Cupertino giant might be focusing on improving the performance and security of its iPhone, which will probably impact macOS but to a lesser degree, as per Bloomberg.
The move comes following months of criticism faced by the company due to bugs found in iPhone's software. The report suggests that Apple was working on additions such as a redesigned home screen app grid, a multiplayer mode for augmented reality games, combined apps platform and a merger of the third-party applications. The company might also revamp photo management application. Moreover, the Cupertino giant might make improvements in features such as digital health and parental control and augmented reality. The cited source further says that Apple watchOS and television software will not be affected.
"Apple is prioritising work to make iPhones more responsive and less prone to cause customer support issues," reports Axios. This is not the first time, prior to this, Apple made a similar type of push in 2015 with the release of iOS 9.
