Now share your Instagram Stories directly on WhatsApp
Facebook-owned popular image and video sharing platform, Instagram might soon allow users to post their Instagram ‘Stories’ directly to WhatsApp (also owned by Facebook) as their ‘Status.’
"We are always testing ways to improve the experience on Instagram and make it easier to share any moment with the people who matter to you," a spokesperson from the Instagram told TechCrunch.
Also, the Instagram Story posted as a WhatsApp Status will become encrypted like the rest of WhatsApp.
Users will soon be getting an option to tap to share on WhatsApp directly from Instagram’s photo sharing screen. The feature is still in testing phase and is available to a very limited number of users.
Last month, Instagram rolled out a new feature that will enable users to follow the hashtags.
With the latest update, users will be able to follow the hashtags. As Instagram explains, following a hashtag is just like a following a friend: just search for a topic that fascinates you and tap any hastag that is visible, and on top of the results page, you will see a follow button.
If you follow a specific hashtag, you will see relevant posts from the same hashtag in your feed and the Stories bar. Users can also unfollow these hashtags if they don’t find them relevant anymore.
You will also be able to see all the hashtags your friends follow just like how you can see which accounts they follow. However, Instagram reassures us that you can change your privacy settings to make sure only your followers are able to see those lists.
