Microsoft Surface Pro tablet may run on cheaper Pentium chips
To compete against the Apple iPad, Microsoft is preparing its Surface Pro tablet for this year which will be slightly easy on the pockets of the users.
The company is expected to introduce a USD 400-priced tablet and based on the FCC filings, it is likely to run on cheaper Intel Pentium chips, Cnet reported. The current model of the Surface Pro tablets is equipped with the Intel Core chips. With Pentium chips, both the performance and the price will be reduced.
Microsoft is mulling over an introduction of dual screen pocketable surface device which will be intended to accomplish the requirements of a PC as well as a tablet. The device will sport two screens on each of the panel on the inner side which will merge into one screen when opened, vanishing the hinges.
It is still when not kown when the device will be officially released.
