MIUI 11 leaks reveal new design, icons and features

Xiaomi’s MIUI skin is one of the more popular custom Android skins thanks to their large fan base through the world. The company is also known for running their own skins independently irrespective of when Google rolls out the new android version.

MIUI 10 can be found on newer phones running android 10 as well as phones running on Android 8.1 Oreo. Now the company is all set to release MIUI 11 soon with a bunch of new features including a complete dark mode, ultra-power saving mode, a new design and more.

Fortunately, Xiaomi accidentally released the new closed betas for a few models including the new Redmi K20 Pro, and pictures of the new UI began to surface.

New Icons

New icons that are more colourful appear on the builds, however, as of now, they lack the consistency that we have observed on devices with stock Android 10.

New features

MIUI 11 will bring a new cross-platform file sharing feature that Xiaomi, OPPO and Vivo are working on together. The always-on display will now feature a kaleidoscope-like effect that allows you to change the colours of the always-on clock automatically. There are also new customisation options in the UI and a new dynamic sounds feature, a newly designed file manager, quick replies for select messaging apps and also a dark-mode scheduler.

While these are early builds, note that all these features might not make it to the first stable builds that will come out later.
