Next Windows 10 update will make it easy to reset log in password
Forgetting passwords is a fairly common issue, especially with the advent of biometric scanners on current mobile devices. However, biometric authentication hasn’t arrived on a mass scale on the PC market, which makes users remember complex passwords. And, if you forget it, it becomes a complex task to unlock your computer. Happily, though, Microsoft is fixing that with the upcoming Fall Creators Update on Windows 10.
The latest build of the Windows Fall Creators Update features the new password recovery option alongside the sign-in options. Microsoft has tried to make the whole process very intuitive. Once the user clicks on the option “I forgot my password,” he/she is provided with a wizard that guides him/her throughout the entire process. Cortana plays a major role here by asking for password recovery information along with secondary email, phone number or Microsoft Authenticator verification code.
After the above-mentioned process, Microsoft finally allows the user to change the account password and gain access to the computer. With this, the Fall Creators Update will make it easier for users to reset passwords on their Windows 10 computers. As evident from the name, the update will be rolled out in November 2017.
