Adobe is looking into the possibility of a voice activated virtual assistant that can edit pictures on user’s commands. The company released a 30-second teaser video that asks ‘What if you had an intelligent assistant for photo editing?’

The conceptual video shows a user using an Adobe mobile app without any technical commands. The AI recognises non-technical commands such as ‘Make it square’ and ‘I don't like it.’ Users don’t need to say commands like ‘Crop with a 1:1 ratio’ or even ‘Undo.’

While many smartphone users can make do with the swiping and tapping gestures, this new method for editing photos can be a good alternative for the ones using the desktop photo-editing software that requires constant precision mousing.

Adobe is yet to confirm whether this project is close to fruition only that it's "exploring what an intelligent digital assistant photo editing might look like." Users will have to wait to see when this technology is incorporated into Adobe apps.
