Intel releases Graphics Driver 15.60 for Windows
Intel has recently released its newest Graphics Driver 15.60 for Window, which enables HDR media playback on integrated GPUs in Intel's 7th generation Core Kaby Lake and 8th generation Core Coffee Lake CPUs.
The driver enables Microsoft Windows 10 Fall Creators Update and brings support for HDR playback and streaming on systems with Intel UHD Graphics 620 or better IGP. It doubles as Windows Mixed Reality launch driver.
The driver also includes several security fixes, support for a wider colour gamut and enables 10-bit HDR playback over HDMI and brings video processing and video decode acceleration in DirectX 12.
On the technical front, it includes general security improvements and an updated Display Audio Driver. The driver also brings support for DXIL, including DX12 shader model 6.0 and 6.1, as well as video processing and video decode acceleration in DX12.
Moreover, Intel has resolved intermittent crashes or hangs in DOTA 2 when switching to lower resolutions on an embedded display panel and brought playability and performance improvements for Middle-earth: Shadow of War.
