Samsung might soon roll out the Bixby 2.0 update
Samsung’s virtual voice assistant, Bixby might soon be witnessing an upgrade. The company is said to announce a new version of Bixby in October at Samsung’s developer conference in San Francisco.
Not a lot of information about the new version is available currently, although Samsung is said to allow support for third party applications and services like the smart TVs and speakers.
Bixby is up against the likes of Apple’s Siri and Google’s Assistant which have been around for quite sometime now. The company promised to make the voice assistant better as the time passes. The virtual assistant is capable of translating as many as 52 languages and responds to both voice and text.
Image recognition feature dubbed as the Bixby vision is said to be the USP of the virtual assistant. Bixby is only available for few Samsung devices such as Galaxy S8, S8+ and the Galaxy Note 8. All these smartphones come with a dedicated button to launch Bixby. Users can also launch Bixby just by swiping left on their home screen.
