Snapchat adds new features to its app
Snapchat on December 13 added four new features to its social networking platform. This can be assumed as the company’s effort to stay competitive in the market given Facebook, Instagram and other such related app’s increasing popularity.
Here are the new features:
GROUPS
Users can now chat with up to 16 people at one time through the use of its Group feature. They can leave the conversation any time they want and the ability to message any one individual still remains.
SHAZAM ABILITY
Snapchat and Shazam announced a partnership that allows users to make use of latter’s music recognition technology by simply pressing and holding the camera screen. The app will then listen to the audio and automatically recognise it. Users can even send it to their friends.
SCISSORS
This new feature allows users to cut a part of a message and use it as their custom sticker. The stickers are stored in the account and can be used any time. The feature is only available on iOS for the time being but will be followed by Android devices soon.
PAINTBRUSH
There isn’t much information regarding this feature however, it is believed that this will allow users to add their individual artistic zeal to their snaps.
