Tinder feeds for you
Tinder has added a social media flavour to the app by introducing a new feature. The company informed through their original blogpost that they are rolling out the ‘Feed’ feature to its users after a limited trial for the last few months.
Feed is a chronological timeline that shows recent matches and their most recent pics, as well as some music they like. The music choices of users are added from Spotify, if they have linked Spotify to the dating app. The most recent profile changes and actions are listed at the top and users can also comment on the various listed actions.
The basic idea behind the launch of this feature is to help kick off a conversation with something meaningful rather than with just a ‘Hi’. A match’s occupation and distance from the user when they last opened the app is also listed beneath each Feed entry. When it was testing the Feed feature, Tinder also included recent Instagram uploads in the timeline. However, that has been removed. The company has informed that it will continually iterate and improve upon Feed as it receives more feedback.
